The hustler doesn’t move from where she is to her goal in one step. In fact, the hustler can’t even see what they will ultimately become from where they stand now. The hustler climbs a little higher, and it’s from that new height that they can see further.

The hustler starts with the rather humble idea that they can get to the next level. That level might be some entrepreneurial freedom like starting a business, or it might be some financial goal. It doesn’t matter what their goal or vision is, but from where they are now, it is what they can see. This vision is bigger than they are now, and it feels like a stretch.

But as the hustler gets closer to that goal, they can see a little further. What used to look a stretch goal is now right in front of them, easily accomplished. Their growth in pursuing their vision or goal has provided them with new eyes. They see further. Things that used to look far away are now squarely in their line of sight.

The hustler’s opinion of what is possible for them changes. Their vision and their goals grow exponentially bigger.

The hustler looks around at their new, higher level and notices that the people who surround them now are not different. These people want the same things that the hustler wants. They have the same challenges and the same constraints. The hustler notices that some have more talent, but that talent doesn’t seem to make a difference. Some started from a different place, but that hasn’t seemed to stop them from achieving what they’ve achieved.

What the hustler notices is that the people who keep seeing further and who keep striving continue to develop a bigger vision of what is possible and the accompanying greater vision of who they can become.

From each higher level, the hustler can see further.

  • How far can see from where you are now?
  • How much further could you see if you hustled your way up a little higher?
