On his program, Born to Win, Zig Ziglar reminds us that we are already rich. He asks you if you would give up your eyes for $1,000,000. Of cource you wouldn’t trade your sight for money. He asks if you’d give up your legs for that same amount. You wouldn’t. You are already rich.
But you are rich for other reasons, too.
Tonight you are with people who love you. Tonight you are with your family and friends. Together, you share the joy of the season with the people who matter most. This means you have all of the riches in the world. You have all that really matters.
But there are some who are alone. There are some who are suffering. Where you are rich, they are poor. Remember them tonight and tomorrow. If it is in your power to do something to ease their suffering, do it. Even if you aren’t rich when measured in dollars, you are rich in other ways, and you can make a difference.
