A family inoculates you against many of life’s challenges. You have people, and they have you, which means you are not alone, and neither are they. It’s good to have holidays to bring everyone together, to renew our bonds to each others, and to exchange gifts, no matter how bug or small, that remind us how much we care about each other. This is also true for the family you choose, or the one that chooses you.
