A hustler never fails to produce the necessary result, regardless of what that result might be this time. You can count on them to get done what needs to be done.
A hustler takes initiative and does what need to be done proactively, before it is necessary. She is resourceful enough to find a way where none presently exists. You can count on the hustler to come up with something that works.
The hustler cares more than anyone else would dare. She is unafraid to admit that she drank the Kool-Aid, that she shares her company’s cultural beliefs, and that who they are matters. She is not a cynic. Nor does she bitch or whine.
The hustler goes first. If it’s a nasty, unpleasant, or difficult task, the hustler volunteers to take it. He wades in before anyone else. No one ever has to ask. The hustler just does it.
The hustler isn’t a glory hound. Hustling isn’t about the accolades or awards. The hustler’s identity and life’s meaning run much deeper than that. Success is at the core of who the hustler is, with or without the press clips.
You can get by without those who fail to produce results because they don’t put forth the effort. You can get by without those reactive souls who only move when some outside force acts upon them. You can live without the many who refuse to exercise their resourcefulness and their creativity and apply these greatest of human attributes to the challenge at hand. You can certainly live without the cynic and his negativity.
When all the dust settles, the hustler is the last one standing. The hustler is indispensable.
