I write every day, but on major holidays, I don’t write my normal 1,000 words.
Cher’s family was supposed to have a party on Saturday, but her brother had Covid, and her father was also under the weather, but no Covid. Last night, we had our adult children and their significant others here to open presents.
Cher framed the covers of the three books I published with Wiley to accompany the three prior books I published with Portfolio. She also gave me the Folio Society book Bring up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel, the follow-up to Wolf Hall.
Today, Christmas, we will find 50 people at my house for Christmas, we’ll have many small people and tall people, the oldest in the mid-80s. There is no greater gift than family.
