Those of us in sales are predominately action-oriented individuals. Something needs done; we do it. A call needs made; we make it. A problem needs solved; we solve it. It’s amazing how impotent and powerless we feel when we can’t get the results in some areas of life that we are used to creating in sales and business.
I was reminded of how powerless we can feel when the Tohoku earthquake caused the tsunami that has crippled Japan. In addition to over 25,000 lives lost, there is now a nuclear accident far, far worse than Chernobyl. The expectations are that it will take decades to recover from the damage, but I believe it is likely to take a far longer period (Chernobyl still has problems).
More must be done. And we can help.
We Aren’t Powerless
I have sent a donation. In fact, I have sent a couple donations to the Red Cross. But I didn’t feel that was enough. I was struggling with what more I could do when my friend, Jonathan Farrington, emailed me to ask me to give a 30-minute presentation about success in sales for Top Sales World, with all of the proceeds going to the Red Cross’s Japanese Disaster Fund.
Jonathan is charging $5.00 for each of 34 presentations to run the week of Monday, May 9, 2011 to Friday, May 13, 2011.
If you can make it to the presentation, you’ll get more than your money’s worth—and more than you bargained for. If you can’t make it to the presentation, please donate the $5.00 anyway.
