I wrote an agenda on &quot;selling with stories&quot; based on my experience with this rep over the years.  I saw the power of this skill firsthand.

You make a great point.
Just like a story teller a salesman has to be charismatic.
To be effective you have to be able to catch the attention of their listeners. 

You have to be able to paint a picture of how it could be if the customer accepts the offer. This to get the focus off of the negative and instead of the positive.
